Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Chicago is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls processes and advise the project management team to ensure client satisfaction. You will present schedule and budget status to the project team and clients.

Responsibilities include validating WBS usage, developing scheduling and cost reports, managing the reporting data warehouse, and guiding team members through complex control issues while interfacing with engineering, procurement and field

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field with 7 years of project controls experience.
• Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating and document control.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface with engineering/procurement.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Validate proper set-up and management of the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
• Analyze data, logs, and reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
• Develop schedules, cost, cash flow reports and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Lead IPPM and presentation of Project Controls reporting.
• Interface with Project Management Team and Accounting to review costs.
