CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop and maintain schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, and perform variance analysis with stakeholders.

You’ll implement financial controls, forecast performance, and contribute to risk assessment while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with project teams. This role emphasizes compliance and clear communication.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for federal contract work and security clearance eligibility.
• Knowledge of project management including budget, planning, control and finance concepts.
• Understanding of project goals, drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specs for work breakdown structures and schedules.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and EcoSys.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs.
• Generates earned value reports and discusses findings with the project manager.
• Manages project portfolios, schedules and risk analyses.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff.
