Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across locations in the United States. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, and perform variance analysis to support informed decisions.

You will implement financial controls, work with project teams, and prepare reports. Travel up to 40% may be required; a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with Earned Value Management on moderately to highly complex projects.
• Ability to gather progress data, update schedules and cost baselines, and analyze variances.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain time‑phased project schedules and cost forecasts.
• Analyze schedule progress, resource needs, and project accruals; report findings.
• Prepare client and internal status reports on cost, schedule, and risk.
• Provide guidance on process improvements and mentoring to junior staff.
• Perform financial analyses, variance and risk assessments, and forecasting.
