Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. The role focuses on developing complex schedule and cost baselines, collecting monthly data, analyzing variances, and integrating risk reserves into forecasts.

The candidate will prepare reports for stakeholders and support financial controls and forecasting techniques. The position involves working with project teams of varying complexity, coordinating with management, and ensuring adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) is preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 for large-scale schedules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and update project baselines.
• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts.
• Monitor progress and performance reporting using EVM.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
• Develop and maintain integrated critical path schedules.
• Communicate cost status to stakeholders.
