Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Controls leader to drive cost and schedule performance across multiple energy and resources projects in North America. You will mentor teams, ensure staffing alignment, and collaborate with project managers to deliver reliable cost data and robust schedules.

The role emphasizes in-office presence within a flexible work model, extensive use of Primavera and MS Office tools, and a track record of improving project controls practices across complex client

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma or degree in a certified project management program is highly desirable.
• Degree in engineering or technical diploma is considered an asset.
• Minimum 10+ years of project controls experience in an engineering management or EPC, EPCM environment, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Project Controls team (Cost and Schedule) with issue resolution and decision making.
• Lead Project Controls teams through challenging project assignments and complex client environments.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value analysis.
• Communicate and monitor goals, constraints, and priorities to the Project Controls team through defined KPI’s.
• Support proposal development with cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans.
• Monitor project performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations for corrective actions.
