Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Controls Supervisor to lead the Project Controls team within the Energy & Resources sector. The role focuses on robust planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting, delivering accurate performance insights for successful project delivery.

Based in North America with in-office requirements, you will align with the Project Services Manager and collaborate with project managers and clients to drive excellence in delivery and KPI achievement.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma or degree in a certified project management program is highly desirable.
• Engineering degree or technical diploma is preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of project controls experience in an engineering management or EPC/EPCM environment, with supervisory exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Project Controls team development, guidance, and performance.
• Manage cost and schedule control, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value analysis.
• Ensure timely preparation of project controls reports, dashboards, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide reliable cost and schedule data for decision-making.
• Support recruitment and staffing to maintain 80% team utilization and 20–30% personal utilization.
• Drive best practices and standardized processes across Energy & Resources projects.
