Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across various U.S. locations. The role focuses on developing complex schedule and cost baselines, collecting and analyzing monthly data, identifying variances, and integrating risk reserves into forecasts.

You will work with project teams and management to ensure compliance with procedures and deliver accurate financial reporting. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements.
• Performs performance reporting for a portfolio of projects using Earned Value Management.
• Monitors progress and compares expenditures to forecasts; conducts financial analyses (variance, risk, profitability).
• Generates earned value reports and communicates observations with project managers.
• Provides technical guidance to junior staff and may supervise junior engineers.
