Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) in Virginia seeks a Project Control Analyst IV for a hybrid role with occasional travel to Herndon or Suffolk offices. You will support project controls across mid-size programs, handling cost baselines, EACs, invoicing, A/R/A/P, and monthly close activities using Deltek Costpoint and SharePoint.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in accounting/financial analysis, strong Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot), and a secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required.
• Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).
• Experience with Federal Government contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, FFP).
• Strong understanding of EACs, ETCs, unbilled analysis and core project financial concepts.
• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hybrid work arrangement; resides within commuting distance to Herndon or Suffolk, VA.

Responsabilités

• Assist PMs and operations leads with financial planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Set up projects in Deltek Costpoint via PSF, including funding, billing, and labor data.
• Develop cost/schedule baselines and budgets; monitor actuals and forecasts.
• Manage project A/R/A/P, subcontract/vendor payments, and billing status.
• Prepare monthly accruals and unbilled analyses; ensure timely processing.
• Support month-end close reviews and SharePoint documentation.
• Coordinate timecard accuracy and expense reporting; drive issue resolution.
• Assist with contract reviews, pricing data, and internal/external project reviews.
