Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) in Virginia is seeking a Project Control Analyst IV to support multiple mid-size projects. The role requires Deltek Costpoint expertise, budget development, and contract closeout duties with a hybrid work arrangement and occasional travel to VA offices. A secret clearance is required.

You will partner with PMs to track finances, forecast costs, and ensure billing accuracy while maintaining monthly status reporting for leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required.
• Experience with Federal Government contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, FFP).
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables).
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• Solid understanding of EACs, ETCs, unbilled analysis, and core project financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in financial planning, tracking and reporting.
• Set up projects in Deltek Costpoint via PSF with funding, ceilings and rates.
• Develop budgets and baselines; monitor actuals and forecasting.
• Manage A/R/A/P, subcontract payments and invoice processing.
• Monitor timecards and expense reports; ensure timely corrections.
• Support month-end close and accrual calculations.
• Communicate project status and findings to management monthly.
