Job summary

Enel North America, Inc. is seeking a Principal Project Controller to lead the integrated control framework for major renewable energy projects in a remote-capable role in the USA.

The role oversees cost, schedule, risk and performance across engineering, procurement, and construction, guiding project teams toward cost-effective, reliable execution. The position requires a strong technical background, executive influence, and experience in global matrix organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field is mandatory.
• 7+ years of experience in project controls or equivalent roles for large-scale programs.
• Proven leadership in integrated cost, schedule, and risk functions in a global matrix.
• Experience with EPC contracts, engineering drawings, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of project controls methodologies across projects following PPC&RM standards.
• Act as primary decision-maker for cost, schedule, and risk, advising leadership on strategies.
• Validate baselines and issuance of validated assumptions for baselines.
• Mentor project controllers and analysts to promote best practices.
• Approve integrated cost baselines aligned with engineering deliverables.
• Monitor expenditures, commitments, forecasts, and cost-to-complete; validate analysis.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities with engineering and procurement teams.
• Provide timely cost deviation reporting and corrective actions.
• Oversee integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, energization.
• Validate critical path, logic ties, and resource allocations; ensure feasibility.
• Lead schedule reviews, variance analysis, and mitigation planning.
• Develop and maintain project risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Facilitate risk workshops with cross-functional leaders.
• Drive digital tools adoption and analytics for performance monitoring.
• Provide executive dashboards covering cost, schedule, risk, and progress.
