Job summary

Enel North America Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Engineering & Construction team. The role focuses on due diligences, design for permitting, and detailed design for renewable power plants, including wind, solar, geo, hydro and storage.

You will validate designs, support construction quality, and assist startup and commissioning across global projects. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Systems, 5+ years in HV power, knowledge of renewables,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power System Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• PE certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Power systems operating in High Voltage.
• Knowledge of Renewables.
• Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
• Construction and/or commissioning experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Power system software (DigSILENT, ETAP, NEPLAN).

Responsibilities

• Execute Due Diligences, Feasibility Studies, Design for Permitting, Basic and Detailed Design for renewable power plants (wind, solar, geo, hydro, storage).
• Review deliverables for validation related to own field.
• Support quality of construction and commissioning of renewable power plants.
• Assist start-up and commissioning activities.
• Lead and support cost estimation for construction and risk assessment.
• Develop and update technical specifications and RFP guidelines.
• Lead technical evaluation of vendor offers for RFPs.
• Manage engineering service contracts with support from other units.
