Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC in Orlando, Florida seeks a Senior Project Billing & Cost Analyst to be the financial backbone for government contracts. You will manage project setup, billing, and compliance in Deltek Costpoint, partnering with Operations and Project Management to ensure accurate labor capture and timely invoicing.

You will handle contract modifications, ICS submissions, and funding issues, while supporting WAWF/PIEE invoicing in line with FAR, DFARS, and DCAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive GovCon project billing/contract accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Deltek Costpoint Billing and Project modules.
• Understanding of CPFF, T&M, and FFP contracts.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with WAWF/PIEE government invoicing portals.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIFS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records and ensure accurate transaction postings.
• Oversee end-to-end billing setup, project creation and maintenance in Costpoint.
• Review and input contract modifications (funding ceilings, periods, contract types).
• Build Project WBS and assign codes for precise labor capture.
• Collaborate with Operations, PMs, and Contracts to resolve variances and unbilled receivables.
• Assist with ICS data and indirect rate submissions.
• Generate and submit government invoices via WAWF/PIEE in compliance with FAR/DFARS/DCAA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bering-Alakaina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Senior Project Billing & Cost Analyst to join our finance team in Orlando, Florida.

In this role, the new hire will serve as the financial backbone for our government contracts, managing the entire lifecycle of project setup, billing, and compliance within Deltek Costpoint. The new hire will act as a business partner to our Operations and Project Management teams. In addition, the new hire will handle complex contract modifications, ensure accurate labor and project setups on employee timesheets, help maintain our Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS), and proactively resolve funding and revenue recognition issues.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains financial records & ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Execute and oversee end-to-end billing setup, project creation, and maintenance within Deltek Costpoint.
• Review and accurately input contract modifications in Costpoint, adjusting funding ceilings, periods of performance, and contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP).
• Build out Project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS). Assign appropriate project and task codes to employee timesheets to ensure precise labor capture and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Contracts teams to analyze and resolve complex billing variances, unbilled receivables, and contract funding issues.
• Assist the Finance team with tracking, updating, and compiling data for the annual DCAA Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and indirect rate applications.
• Generate, review, and submit complex government invoices through WAWF/PIEE in strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DCAA guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field OR directly related equivalent work experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of progressive experience in project billing, contract administration, or project accounting within the Government Contracting (GovCon) sector.
• Advanced hands‑on proficiency with Deltek Costpoint specifically the Billing and Project modules.
• Deep understanding of various government contract types, including Cost‑Plus (CPFF), Time & Materials (T&M), and Firm‑Fixed‑Price (FFP).
• Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of successfully collaborating with operational teams to solve financial bottlenecks.
• Experience navigating WAWF/PIEE government invoicing portals.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, Sumifs) for data reconciliation.
