Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Project Architect / Quality Control Manager in McAllen, TX to support design coordination and ensure construction documents meet contract requirements and design intent.

The role partners with Design Manager, Project Managers, Operations, and Designers of Record to address constructability and quality concerns, performing QC reviews throughout design and construction and mentoring future QC Inspectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field is required.
• Professional architectural license preferred; required when licensure is needed for responsibilities.
• Experience in architecture, commercial construction, design coordination, or project delivery.
• Working knowledge of architectural documents, codes, standards, and building systems.
• Experience reviewing design documents, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Proficiency with BIM and design-coordination processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Design Manager with design process, schedules, coordination and deliverables.
• Serve as architectural and technical resource for projects throughout design and construction.
• Lead or participate in design and project coordination meetings.
• Review drawings and specifications for coordination, constructability and quality.
• Perform quality-control reviews during design and construction phases.
• Identify and communicate design/coordination/quality concerns to project team.
• Coordinate design and code-related concerns with Designer of Record.
• Support cross-discipline coordination between architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and others.
