Job summary

AECOM is hiring an Experienced Senior Project Architect for the Arlington, VA area within Buildings + Places. Lead technical execution, ensure constructability, and manage project delivery from concept to completion across a diverse portfolio.

The role requires a RA license, a Bachelor's in Architecture, and strong experience with BIM and design documentation. Hybrid work model with client coordination and QA/QC responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field; 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Registered Architect (RA) license required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience preparing/writing specifications.
• Must be able to obtain US Government Security Clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience in Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution, constructability, and project delivery across the portfolio.
• Mentor design staff and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare specifications, reports, and data tables.
• Manage RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals.
• Conduct field observations to verify conformance with documents.
