Job summary

Teleion, based in Seattle, is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant with 10+ years of accounting leadership. The role focuses on GAAP month-end close, reporting, and variance analysis, with emphasis on inventory, revenue recognition, and COGS.

You will work with Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to implement data-driven improvements and AI-enabled automation. Successful candidates will drive streamlining of close processes, mentor teams, and communicate complex insights to stakeholders at all

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a track record of leading projects and driving financial process improvement.
• Strong technical knowledge in inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and COGS.
• Hands-on experience owning month-end close, JEs, accruals, amortization schedules, reporting, and GL reconciliations per GAAP.
• Proven ability to perform detailed month-over-month GL variance analysis and communicate findings clearly.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, amortization schedules, financial reporting, and GL reconciliations per GAAP.
• Perform month-over-month GL variance analysis, identify key drivers, investigate fluctuations, and present findings to leadership.
• Support inventory accounting (finished goods/returns), revenue recognition, and COGS.
• Identify opportunities to streamline close activities and leverage AI/automation to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and other teams to reflect new initiatives in the close.
• Serve as trusted advisor to stakeholders while meeting close deadlines and accounting transformations.
