Job summary

Anthropic Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in Seattle. You will own month-end close for a defined set of accounts, perform journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial statements with clear explanations for stakeholders.

You will work across Finance, Procurement, Payroll, Legal, Tax, and Systems, building scalable closes and documenting processes while leveraging AI tools with meticulous review to maintain high-quality

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings.
• CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CA qualification, or progress toward one.
• Experience with fixed assets, intercompany accounting, ASC standards.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and quarter-end close for assigned accounts and entities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and flux analyses; explain variances clearly to reviewers.
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for US GAAP areas (prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany).
• Draft accounting memos and process documentation; escalate non-routine items with proposed treatment.
• Execute internal controls and prepare audit support; respond to auditor requests; support SOX readiness.
