Job summary

SymphonyAI is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, close processes, and financial reporting. This role partners with FP&A, Tax, Legal, and operations to ensure accurate results, strong internal controls, and scalable processes that support growth. The ideal candidate has 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, solid U.S.

GAAP knowledge, and ERP proficiency (NetSuite/Oracle/SAP). CPA preferred; Big 4 experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred and Big 4 experience preferred considered a plus.
• 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Research and document accounting treatment for new transactions and initiatives.
• Support external audits and coordinate responses to auditor requests.
• Maintain internal controls and support SOX compliance where applicable.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Treasury, HR, and operations on accounting matters.
• Prepare management reporting and provide financial insights for decision making.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
• Train, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Monitor key accounting metrics and deliverables.
