Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Accountant to support revenue recognition, internal controls, and management reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance and adherence to corporate policies. The role will involve analyzing inventory variances, reconciling subledgers, and preparing journal entries and reserves as part of period-end close.

The candidate will participate in audits, tax packs, and physical counts, with opportunities to lead process-improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate/manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support revenue recognition, internal controls, and management reporting in GAAP compliance.
• Analyze inventory usage and variances; partner with Operations to identify root causes.
• Reconcile inventory subledger to GL and recommend COGS adjustments.
• Prepare period cost reserves, E&O analyses, and related journal entries.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and quarterly variance explanations.
• Lead and participate in audits, tax packs, surveys, and physical counts.
• Contribute to process improvement and profitability initiatives.
