Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Accountant III to serve as a subject matter expert within Project Accounting.

The role will independently manage complex accounting, advise on audits, and drive standardization, automation, and control enhancements across the department. Based in our San Diego office or remotely in the Pacific time zone, you will partner with project managers, operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate billing, revenue recognition, and financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 2+ years Big Four or Top 10 audit firm experience or equivalent for complex audits.
• GAAP knowledge, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Month-, quarter-, and year-end close experience with complex journal entries and audit support.
• Construction/accounting experience in EPC/energy preferred.
• ERP systems experience and advanced Excel proficiency.
• CPA, CMA, or CCIFP preferred.
• Pacific or Central time zone preferred for late-day collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting oversight for assigned construction projects, including revenue, costs, WIP, billing, and reporting.
• Serve as primary accounting resource for project managers on complex matters.
• Mentor and guide other Project Accountants; support audit requests.
• Complete complex month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
• Coordinate audit support and respond to complex auditor requests.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, automation and controls across project accounting.
• Collaborate with AR, AP, Tax, Procurement and project teams on issues.
• Monitor project documentation such as lien waivers and notices.
