SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Accountant III to serve as a subject matter expert for the Project Accounting team. The role involves complex project accounting, guidance on audit matters, and driving process improvements.

The Senior Project Accountant III will mentor other Accountants while remaining an individual contributor. The position offers flexibility to be based in San Diego, CA, or remote within the Pacific time zone, with details discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 2+ years at Big Four or Top 10 audit firm or equivalent with complex public-company audits/SOX experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience with month/quarter/year-end closes and audit support.
• Construction/EP C/ energy project accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting oversight for assigned construction projects including revenue, costs, WIP, and billing.
• Act as primary accounting resource for project managers on complex accounting, billing, cost, and compliance matters.
• Analyze project results, identify risks, and drive resolution of complex issues.
• Review contracts, changes, transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Close books with journal entries, reconciliations, and WIP analysis.
