SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant III to serve as a subject matter expert within the Project Accounting team. The role combines independent project accounting leadership with mentoring, complex billing oversight, and support for audits across construction, EPC, and energy projects.

The position offers flexibility to work full-time in our San Diego office or remotely within the Pacific time zone, with ongoing opportunities to improve processes, standardize controls,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• ~2+ years in Big Four or Top 10 audit firm or equivalent handling complex audits/SOX.
• GAAP knowledge, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience closing monthly/quarterly/yearly books with complex entries and audit support.
• Construction/accounting experience including WIP, revenue recognition, owner billing, subcontractor accounting preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, exercise professional judgment, and escalate when needed.
• Experience driving process improvements, standardization, or automation across accounting teams.
• Ability to mentor and review other project accounting staff.

Responsabilidades

• Provide accounting oversight for construction projects, including revenue, costs, WIP, and billing.
• Mentor and guide other Project Accountants; support audit requests.
• Review project financial data for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Lead complex month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities and journal entries.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams on billing and compliance.
• Identify risks, analyze results, and drive resolution of complex issues.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, automation, and control enhancements across Project Accounting.
