Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Accountant III to provide expert project accounting leadership for construction projects nationwide. You will mentor other accountants, drive standardization and controls, and support audits.

Location can be San Diego, CA or remote in Pacific Time. The role demands a strong background in U.S. GAAP, complex month-end close, and collaboration with PMs, Operations, and Tax teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.
• 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 2+ years of Big Four or Top 10 audit firm or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and financial oversight for assigned construction projects, including revenue, costs, WIP, commitments, billing requirements, and financial reporting.
• Serve as the primary accounting resource for Project Managers and project teams on complex project accounting, billing, cost, revenue, and compliance matters.
• Analyze project results, identify financial risks or unusual trends, and drive resolution or escalation of complex issues.
• Complete complex month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, reconciliations, and WIP analysis.
• Review owner billing requirements and oversee accurate, timely preparation of billings and supporting documentation.
