Job summary

HCM, in Conshohocken, is seeking a Project Accountant to join our office. The role requires setting up new projects, budgets, and related fees in our accounting system, updating budgets for add-ons, and managing billing and AR activities for multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has at least eight years of project accounting experience, preferably in an architecture or engineering firm, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• At least eight years of project accounting experience in an architecture or engineering setting.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficient in spreadsheets; Deltek Vantagepoint experience a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Set up new projects, fees, and budgets in accounting software.
• Update fees and budgets for additional services and bid/alternate changes.
• Adjust fees, budgets, and revenue as owner-approved changes occur.
• Prepare draft/final invoices with required documentation.
• Provide monthly AR reports to studio leaders and coordinate follow-up on late payments.
• Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis and support project managers.
