EMH&T, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support cash-basis project accounting for a civil engineering firm. You will work with Project Managers and the Director of Accounting to ensure timely client billing, collections, project reporting, and accurate financial records.

The role emphasizes project lifecycle accounting, AR management, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting, serving as a liaison between accounting and project teams to maintain financial health.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong AR, collections, cash management, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Project Managers and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers and Director of Accounting to manage project billing, AR, and client collections.
• Monitor project invoicing, cash receipts, and aging to ensure timely revenues collection.
• Prepare and report on project financial performance and revenue realization.
• Support cash-basis accounting, bank reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Assist with general accounting and administrative duties.
