Job summary

CFS is a privately held construction industry client with a new permanent Senior Project Accountant opportunity. This role will partner with leadership, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams, mentoring and overseeing Project Accountants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related
• 4+ years of Accounting experience
• Experience in construction/engineering/related fields
• Ability to provide insights on accounting/finance matters across the organization
• Strong project/time management skills
• Advanced Excel with large data sets

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accounting and financial reporting for assigned construction projects
• Analyze WIP, budgets, forecasts, and variances
• Conduct productivity and profitability analysis for leadership
• Analyze financial impacts related to labor, materials, equipment, assets
• Manage billing processes per contract terms with internal/external customers
• Present financial information to Finance, Project Management and Operations leadership
• Manage lien waivers and payment process
• Monitor pay estimates and cash forecast for AR and supplier payments
• Assist with staff oversight

Approximate Base Salary of $95,000 - $125,000 + Bonus

Responsibilities Of The Senior Project Accountant

• Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for assigned construction projects
• Analyze WIP, business plans, budgets, forecasts, and variances
• Conduct productivity and profitability analysis for assigned projects to leadership
• Analyze and advise on financial/profitability impacts related to labor, materials, equipment, assets
• Work with internal/external customers managing financial and billing processes according to contract terms
• Present financial information to Finance, Project Management and Operations leadership
• Manage lien waivers and payment process
• Monitor pay estimates, cash forecast for AR, supplier payments and contract values
• Assist with staff oversight

Ideal Experience For The Senior Project Accountant Role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related

• Accounting experience in construction, engineering, architecture, project manufacturing, or related
