Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- is seeking a senior-level construction accounting professional in Los Angeles to oversee accounting across multiple projects. You will support budgeting, billing, cost tracking, contract administration, and payment processing, collaborating with senior leadership on key financial initiatives.

The ideal candidate has hands-on project accounting experience, familiarity with QuickBooks and Sage, and CPA consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Previous construction accounting experience is required.
• Knowledge of project accounting, billing, cost accounting, payroll, and contract compliance.
• Experience with QuickBooks and Sage is preferred; CPA designation or active pursuit is a plus.

Salary: USD10000 - USD12500 per year

What You'll Be Doing:

• Managing accounting responsibilities across multiple active construction projects
• Supporting budgeting, billing, cost tracking, contract administration, and payment processing
• Partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on key financial initiatives
• Assisting with process improvements and systems optimization efforts
• Contributing to month-end activities, reporting, and operational accounting function

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous construction accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, billing, cost accounting, payroll, and contract compliance
• Experience with accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks and Sage
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA preferred

Ideal Background

The ideal candidate has progressed from a Project Accountant role into a more senior-level capacity and understands both project-based and corporate accounting functions. Experience with WIP reporting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities is highly desirable.
