Job summary

Concord Parks and Recreation Department seeks an outgoing part-time Recreation Specialist to plan, organize and run our senior citizens program at Concord and Penacook locations.

Hours are 25–28 per week, may include evenings and some weekends. Starting pay is $23.14–$26.78 per hour, with a top wage of $33.45; benefits include vacation, sick, holidays, disability, family medical leave, and library card.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in education, recreation or related field with at least 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience working with senior citizens is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; must pass background and driving checks.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan and supervise events and programs for senior citizens.
• Assist with promoting events through press releases, posters and marketing materials.
• Gather program surveys and compile results in Excel; prepare reports in Word.
