Job summary

The City of High Point's Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated staff member to run programs for older adults, plan activities, and provide excellent customer service within a busy community center. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ age, and a valid NC driver’s license.

The position includes mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $15.95 per hour, with full benefits including pension, 401K/457B plans, PTO, paid holidays, tuition

Qualifications

• Formal Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide and implement stimulating recreational programs for older adults, creating a safe environment.
• Assist and lead various programs, and perform related tasks as required.
• Maintain daily attendance records for all participants and provide excellent customer service.
• Greet participants and assist with scheduling, setup, and cleanup for activities.
• Drive the community van as needed and ensure safety policies are followed.
