Job summary

Concord Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an outgoing, energetic Recreation Specialist to plan, organize and run our senior citizens program across Concord and Penacook locations. This part-time role requires flexibility for evenings and some weekends, with a typical 25–28 hour week and 9am–3pm hours.

Responsibilities include event planning, promotion, reporting, and coordination with partners. Candidates should have an Associate degree in education/recreation or related field and 2+

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in education, recreation or closely related field and at least 2 years of related experience.
• or a combination of education and experience working specifically with Senior Citizens will be considered.
• Applicants must have current Red Cross First Aid and Infant & Child CPR; 18+ and pass background and driving checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and run senior citizen programs and events.
• Supervise events at Concord and Penacook locations.
• Promote senior events via press releases, posters and marketing materials.
• Collect surveys, compile results in Excel and prepare findings in Word.
• Ensure contracts, timesheets and reports are completed on schedule.
