Job summary

Wunderkind in New York seeks a Director of Programmatic Sales to spearhead growth for the Publicis account. You will hunt for new buyers, drive demand for Wunderkind’s display and video inventory, and penetrate agencies, trading desks, and brands to become a core programmatic partner.

You will own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, build relationships with senior stakeholders, and work with teams to ensure successful onboarding of first‑time buyers and ongoing revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years of total experience in online programmatic advertising sales.
• At least five years growing own book of programmatic business with a quota.
• Proven ability to start from scratch in new territories or new books of business.
• Strong industry connections, especially with the Publicis account.
• Active network of buy-side contacts with successful new business wins.
• Track record of meeting revenue targets through acquiring large, strategic new clients.
• Expertise selling complex CPA, CPC, and CPM campaigns.
• Deep knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem: DSPs, exchanges, and ad servers.
• BA/BS degree in a numeric, technical, or commercial field.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and secure new programmatic demand from agencies and advertisers in the territory.
• Lead the full sales cycle for new buyers, from outreach to contract execution.
• Build a network of first-time decision makers in the programmatic buying cycle.
• Develop and execute strategies to displace competitors and capture market share.
• Educate the market on Wunderkind's unique value proposition.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align product evolution with buyer needs.
• Work with Account Managers to transition new buyers for long-term service.
