Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA is seeking a Principal Program Planning Analyst/Scheduler for a full-time, onsite role on the Mission Systems programs. The position offers a 9/80 work schedule and requires a Secret clearance with US citizenship.

Travel up to 10% may be required. The Scheduler will join our Scheduling Center of Excellence and coordinate with engineering and operations to develop and manage the program schedule baseline, with focus on line-of-business execution and contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of experience or Master’s with 3 years of experience.
• 9 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Program scheduling experience using common scheduling tools (MS Project, Oracle P6, Deltek Open Plan).
• MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) proficiency.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% and US citizenship with Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and control the program schedule baseline; coordinate with cross-functional teams to update status for management decisions.
• Develop an integrated program measurement baseline to manage cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Use project scheduling software to plan progress and identify variances; coordinate with leads for corrective actions.
• Conduct metrics reviews and predictive analyses to improve cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Perform schedule risk analyses and work with program management to resolve risky schedules and network conflicts.
