Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA is hiring a Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 3) or Sr. Principal Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 4). This on-site role requires travel up to 25% (Palmdale) or up to 50% from El Segundo or San Diego.

A Secret clearance is required and a detailed IMS will be developed with MS Project and EVM practices. The position offers competitive salary ranges, excellent benefits, and opportunities to work on cutting-edge aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR 9 years of applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
• Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
• Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
• Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas
