Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Management, Planning & Scheduling Professional to onsite in Tewksbury, MA. Lead development and maintenance of the IMS, analyze critical paths, and ensure alignment of schedule with cost and technical requirements.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, 8+ years of experience (or 5+ with an advanced degree), and proficiency in MS Project, Primavera or Open Plan. Provide planning metrics and mentor junior staff in a rigorous EVMS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or advanced degree) plus minimum 8 years of Program Planning, Scheduling or Project Management experience, or 5 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience with scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan or similar.
• Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and evaluating critical path/workflow.
• Experience with EVMS or similar.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and analyze Program Master Phasing Schedule and IMS/Integrated Master Schedule.
• Ensure accurate, appropriate, effective plan established for scope of work.
• Analyze critical path, risk integration, IMS structure, and evaluate trends and schedule-related metrics.
• Review and implement IMS coding, outlining structures, and adherence to directives and scheduling best practices.
• Assist the lead scheduler/planner on larger or more complex efforts or manage smaller efforts.
• Integrate program technical and programmatic solutions into IMS baseline plan, ensuring cost, schedule and technical requirements are incorporated.
• Create and maintain compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) achieving necessary cost and schedule integration.
• Review IMS planned work for accuracy, identifying missing or improperly planned work.
• Recommend and use alternative program management plans/artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow).
• Conduct and explain Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) results, integrate mitigation plans into IMS and schedule risks into Risk Management process.
• Provide weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis and network logic validation using EVMS processes.
• Mentor and train junior planners.
