Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Management, Planning & Scheduling Professional to onsite in Tewksbury, MA. Lead development and maintenance of the IMS, analyze critical paths, and ensure alignment of schedule with cost and technical requirements.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, 8+ years of experience (or 5+ with an advanced degree), and proficiency in MS Project, Primavera or Open Plan. Provide planning metrics and mentor junior staff in a rigorous EVMS environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (or advanced degree) plus minimum 8 years of Program Planning, Scheduling or Project Management experience, or 5 years with an advanced degree.
Experience with scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan or similar.
Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and evaluating critical path/workflow.
Experience with EVMS or similar.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and analyze Program Master Phasing Schedule and IMS/Integrated Master Schedule.
Ensure accurate, appropriate, effective plan established for scope of work.
Analyze critical path, risk integration, IMS structure, and evaluate trends and schedule-related metrics.
Review and implement IMS coding, outlining structures, and adherence to directives and scheduling best practices.
Assist the lead scheduler/planner on larger or more complex efforts or manage smaller efforts.
Integrate program technical and programmatic solutions into IMS baseline plan, ensuring cost, schedule and technical requirements are incorporated.
Create and maintain compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) achieving necessary cost and schedule integration.
Review IMS planned work for accuracy, identifying missing or improperly planned work.
Recommend and use alternative program management plans/artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow).
Conduct and explain Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) results, integrate mitigation plans into IMS and schedule risks into Risk Management process.
Provide weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis and network logic validation using EVMS processes.
Mentor and train junior planners.
