Job summary

Raikes Foundation in Seattle is seeking a Program Officer to lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of coordinated community responses to youth homelessness. You will shape grantmaking strategies, foster strong grantee relationships, and advance equity through data-driven decision-making and collaboration with diverse partners.

The role emphasizes strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing learning to scale proven solutions and inform public policy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in program development and design
• Deep commitment to the foundation’s Youth Homelessness goals
• Ability to develop strategy and manage complex adaptive issues
• Experience with youth homelessness and upstream systems (juvenile justice, schools, behavioral health, child welfare)
• Ability to address complex challenges with data-driven, equity-focused approaches
• Strong analytic and synthesis skills to inform policy and program development
• Openness to feedback, continuous learning, and improvement science or networked learning
• Proven experience collaborating with funders, government, nonprofits, and community stakeholders
• Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and cultural responsiveness
• Excellent relationship-building and communication in diverse settings
• Prior philanthropy experience is a plus
• Knowledge of public policy relevant to youth and young adults

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of coordinated community responses to youth homelessness
• Develop grantmaking strategies, oversee a portfolio of grants, and guide due diligence
• Cultivate and manage grantee relationships and partnerships with public and private funders
• Work with communications and advocacy teams to share lessons and scale impact
• Support annual workplans, strategy reviews, budgets, and metrics to measure impact
