Job summary

SCHARP in Lynwood, CA is seeking a Program Manager to oversee mental health services for the OCS program, supervising clinicians, case managers, and peer staff to ensure quality and contract compliance.

The role coordinates administrative functions, ensures timely documentation, manages referrals, reviews cases, and collaborates with county and partner agencies. Requires a Master’s degree, licensure, QMHP designation, and at least 2 years of MH experience; on-call crisis response is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker-LCSW or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-LMFT (preferred).
• Eligible to submit licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Qualifies as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) by the Department of Mental Health.
• Minimum 2 years experience providing mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and provides oversight for assigned staff (case managers, peers, clinicians).
• Meets weekly with staff for orientation, ongoing support, and resources.
• Oversees EBPs, treatment strategies, and service elements to improve outcomes.
• Ensures clinical assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes are documented timely.
• Plans in-service training with the Management Team and coordinates resources.
• Follows hiring, discipline, and termination processes with Clinical and HR Directors.
• Coordinates with housing, probation, and psychiatrists to provide consistent services.
• Maintains billing, documentation standards, and timely submission.
• Responds to crises 24/7, to avert hospitalization and obtain LPS designation.
• Manages administrative functions: time sheets, payments, schedules, vehicle checks.
