Saab AB in East Syracuse, NY seeks a Principal Program Manager to profitably execute development programs within the Surveillance division. Leads large-scale radar systems programs, shaping strategy and EVMS-driven reporting.

The role drives growth, proposals, and collaboration across Sales, Product Management, and manufacturing to extend Saab’s technology and meet customer needs. Requires 10+ years in aerospace/defense PM and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of Program Management experience, $50M – $100M+ program lifecycle in aerospace/defense.
• Extensive experience negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with large Aerospace and Defense customers.
• Demonstrated track record leading large scale aerospace and defense business capture efforts.
• Must possess advanced knowledge of program management standards and best practices (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, Risk/Opportunity management).
• Ability to contribute to development strategy and lead strategic initiatives in support of objectives.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in support of program and business.

• Ensure all projects within assigned program are managed and executed within approved PM processes.
• Make personnel recommendations in support of business objectives.
• Drive Earned Value Management principles and report status.
• Identify and pursue significant new business opportunities.

• Collaborate across functions to leverage execution and capture strategies.
• Grow relationships with customers and industry primes to meet needs.
