Job summary

Saab seeks a Principal Program Manager to lead profitable development programs within the Surveillance division, onsite at East Syracuse, NY. The role requires extensive experience with radar systems and EVMS-driven reporting, budgeting, and program execution.

You will drive growth, pursue new opportunities, and collaborate across sales, product management, and manufacturing to deliver competitive proposals. Required are 10+ years in PM, US citizenship, and ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of Program Management experience in aerospace/defense with $50M–$100M+ programs.
• Experience negotiating multi-million-dollar agreements with major Aerospace/Defense customers.
• Proven track record leading large-scale aerospace and defense program captures.
• Advanced knowledge of PM standards (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, Risk/Opportunity).
• Ability to drive strategy and lead initiatives for business objectives.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned program portfolios.
• Establish and control program budgets aligned with needs.
• Ensure all projects follow approved PM processes.
• Develop growth strategies and pursue new opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales/Product Management on competitive landscape.
• Develop high-quality competitive proposals and leverage resources across phases.
• Provide leadership to execution staff for high-quality delivery.
