Saab AB in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead profitable development programs in the Surveillance division, onsite at our East Syracuse office.

The role requires deep experience in large-scale radar programs, PE/EVMS practices, and a track record of growth through new opportunities and strong customer relations. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in PM, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of Program Management experience on $50M–$100M+ aerospace/defense programs.
• Extensive experience negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with large Aerospace and Defense customers.
• Demonstrated track record leading large scale aerospace and defense business capture efforts.
• Advanced knowledge of program management standards (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, risk/opportunity management).
• Ability to contribute to development strategy and lead strategic initiatives.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in support of program and business.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned program portfolios.
• Establish and control program budgets aligned with program needs.
• Ensure all projects are managed within approved PM processes.
• Provide leadership to program execution staff for high-quality deliverables.
• Develop growth strategies and pursue new business opportunities.
• Collaborate across functions to leverage execution and capture strategies.
