Saab is seeking a Principal Program Manager to drive profitable development programs in the Surveillance division from our East Syracuse, NY office. The candidate will have deep experience with large radar systems and an in-depth understanding of military or commercial radar markets and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of Program Management experience, $50M–$100M+ programs in aerospace/defense.
• Extensive experience negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with aerospace/defense customers.
• Track record leading large aerospace and defense capture efforts.
• Advanced knowledge of program management standards (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, risk/opportunity).
• Ability to contribute to strategy and lead functional/business initiatives.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned programs.
• Establish and control program budgets aligned with program needs.
• Ensure all projects are managed within approved processes.
• Provide guidance to junior PMs to ensure high-quality deliveries.
• Drive EVMS initiatives and report program status internally and externally.
• Identify and pursue significant new business opportunities.
