Job summary

Michaels Energy seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead and grow a portfolio of utility energy efficiency programs in New England. You will own financial and operational performance, build client relationships, and guide cross-functional delivery teams.

Remote within New England with occasional travel; you will shape program strategy, develop budgets, and pursue growth opportunities while ensuring scalable, financially sound programs that deliver value for clients and customers.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience leading complex programs, portfolios, or business operations.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and accountability for budgets and forecasting.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior level decisions.
• Strong client or stakeholder relationship building and communication skills.
• Analytical, organized, and committed to operational excellence and improvement.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio financial and operational performance, including revenue, profitability, budgets, forecasts, and contractual commitments.
• Develop program strategies, budgets, and scopes of work that align client goals, staffing resources, delivery targets, and financial performance.
• Identify risks, improve program economics, and pursue opportunities for portfolio growth and contract renewal.
• Serve as the primary client relationship manager, building trusted partnerships and addressing client priorities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, outreach, marketing, and program operations.
• Strengthen delivery processes and operating practices to ensure high-quality program implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and senior leadership to solve problems and achieve goals.
• Communicate effectively with clients and senior leadership, translating complex program and financial information into actionable insights.
