Job summary

Michaels Energy in the Midwest is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead and grow a portfolio of utility energy efficiency programs with autonomy to shape strategy and own financial and operational performance.

You will build strong utility client relationships, lead cross-functional delivery teams, and translate opportunities into scalable programs that drive growth and client value.

Qualifications

• Five years or more of experience leading complex programs, portfolios, or business operations.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and accountability for budgets, forecasts, and data-driven decisions.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, aligning resources, and delivering results through collaboration and influence.
• Strong track record building client or stakeholder relationships and communicating with senior decision-makers.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio financial and operational performance, including revenue, profitability, budgets, forecasts, and commitments.
• Develop program strategies, budgets, and scopes of work aligned with client goals and resources.
• Identify risks, improve program economics, and pursue opportunities for growth and renewals.
• Serve as the primary client relationship manager, addressing priorities and growth opportunities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, outreach, marketing, and program operations to ensure high-quality delivery.
