Job summary

Saab seeks a Principal Program Manager to ensure profitable execution of development programs in the Surveillance division, onsite at East Syracuse, NY. The role requires deep radar system domain knowledge and leadership across budgets, schedules, and technical performance.

Responsibilities include revenue growth, competitive proposal development, and collaboration with Sales and Product Management to maintain market insight. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Program Management experience in aerospace/defense or equivalent.
• Extensive experience negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with major aerospace/defense customers.
• Advanced knowledge of program management standards (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, risk/opportunity).

Responsibilities

• Own cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned program portfolios.
• Establish and control program budgets aligned with needs.
• Ensure projects are managed within approved PM processes.
• Lead EVMS reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue significant new business opportunities.
• Develop competitive proposals and collaborate across functions through design and manufacturing phases.
• Grow customer relationships and leverage opportunities with primes.
