Job summary

PEMCO in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced Senior Program/Project Manager to lead complex cross-functional initiatives delivering business value through digital, data, AI, and enterprise capabilities.

You will partner with PMO and stakeholders to plan, execute, and govern multiple workstreams, manage risks, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while coaching teams and mentoring others.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in project or program management roles with increasing scale, scope and/or complexity required.
• Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, technology partners and/or business teams to deliver complex project or program outcomes.
• Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Agile project methodologies required.
• Experience leading business, IT, digital, data, AI, analytics, reporting, data governance or operational initiatives is preferred.
• Experience with architecture, security, privacy, data governance or responsible AI practices is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, PgMP, Agile certification or equivalent is preferred.
• MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook is required.
• Job specific: Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet or comparable project/program management tools is required.
• Business Environment: Understanding of insurance domain; connects delivery to business priorities and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex programs or workstreams of high scale, scope and complexity, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and scope.
• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, risk/issue logs, dashboards and KPIs.
• Apply standardized PMO methodologies to support portfolio visibility and governance.
• Elicit and interpret complex delivery requirements across multiple dependent workstreams.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, elevating as needed with options.
• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and delivery partners to solve problems and improve processes.
• Ensure delivery readiness, documentation, training, deployment validation and transition activities.
• Coach and mentor others on project and program management practices and tools.
