Job summary

PEMCO is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to bridge business needs and technical capabilities in our Seattle office. You will engage stakeholders, elicit requirements, and drive end-to-end improvements across multiple systems and processes.

You will mentor teammates, contribute to data governance, and help shape solutions that align with PEMCO’s strategic goals. You will work with insurance domain experts, support cloud-based implementations, and apply agile and waterfall practices to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of business analyst experience in IT.
• Experience with insurance core processing platforms is preferred.
• Experience supporting cloud-based software implementations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and elicit business requirements through sessions with business units and tech staff for projects and system enhancements.
• Translate business needs into functional specs and user stories for technical teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues post-release and during deployments.
• Provide leadership and partner with stakeholders to drive solutions and improvements.
• Mentor and coach peers, promoting best practices in analysis and documentation.
• Participate in buy vs. build decisions for technology solutions.
• Develop end-user training and ensure necessary documentation is created.
• Coordinate projects using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Analyze data sources and processes to propose new technology and process improvements.
• Document enterprise data definitions and governance standards.
