Job summary

The City of New York’s Department of Parks and Recreation seeks a Senior Coordinator for the Landscape Architecture Program. Under general direction you will assist with the management of capital design and construction projects and coordinate with multiple divisions to keep projects on schedule.

This role requires monitoring funding, using Unifier and FMS, preparing CP packages for OMB submissions, and reporting on progress to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with two years of related community work experience.
High school diploma with six years of related experience.
Education/experience equivalent to 1) or 2) above, with at least one year in related duties.

Responsibilities

Assist management of Capital Division design and construction projects for the Landscape Architecture Program.
Track project schedules from funding inception through design, procurement, construction and close-out.
Manage reporting and tracking documents to support program management.
Monitor Unifier and alert managers to deficiencies; prepare Unifier reports as needed.
Liaise with internal divisions and attend meetings; take notes and follow up.
Monitor funding across all phases; coordinate with budget staff and financial systems.
Prepare CP request packages for OMB submissions as needed.
Track consultant services needs and initiate work orders with Landscape Architecture Teams.
Support agency initiatives and help achieve long-range program goals.
