The City of New York – NYC Parks is seeking a Community Coordinator to support the Capital Projects division under the Chief of Staff. The role requires managing a demanding calendar, coordinating with Parks staff, Agency leadership and community partners, and preparing materials for meetings and hearings.

Responsibilities include monitoring division priorities, creating briefing materials, slide decks, Excel spreadsheets and agendas; representing the division in interagency meetings;

Qualifikationen

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related activities; or six years of related experience.
• Residency in NYC or nearby counties may be required for city employees; ability to work with diverse communities.
• Strong writing, supervisory, administrative and interpersonal skills; ability to prepare high‑level briefings and reports.

Aufgaben

• Support the Capital Projects division under the Chief of Staff with complex administrative tasks.
• Maintain Deputy Commissioner’s demanding schedule and prepare meeting materials.
• Prepare briefing materials, slide decks, Excel spreadsheets and agendas for meetings/hearings.
• Represent the division at interagency meetings and coordinate with staff and partners.
• Assist in correspondence, responses to inquiries, and coordination with other Parks units.
