Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Senior Program Director to lead Before and After Care, Summer Camp and Youth and Family programming across a major municipality. You will hire, train and guide staff, drive enrollment and revenue, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes aligned with the Y’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, nonprofit management, education or a related field.
• Minimum of five years in senior leadership and supervision in YMCA operations, nonprofit management or related environments.
• Experience with fundraising and working with volunteer boards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for branch programs and services that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
• Recruit, hire and develop a high-performing team and foster an inclusive, performance-driven culture.
• Develop and oversee the youth and family operating budget, forecasting and financial controls.
• Support annual campaigns and donor relations to advance philanthropic impact.
• Oversee volunteer development, recruitment and engagement to strengthen community impact.
• Provide strategic oversight of before/after school and camp programs, ensuring safety and quality.
• Build relationships with school districts and community partners to align programs and growth.
• Drive data-informed program performance and manage risk across childcare and youth services.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement strategic initiatives and uphold YMCA values.
