Job summary

Volunteers of America of Massachusetts seeks a Program Director to lead the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program across the service area. You will supervise staff and ensure high-quality, veteran-centered, trauma-informed services aligned with VA requirements and VOAMASS’s care model.

You will oversee outreach, screenings, referrals, safety planning, and reporting, coordinating with VA teams and community partners, while ensuring program compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human services, military, or related field; veterans encouraged.
• Proven leadership and program management including staff supervision and grant/contract compliance.
• Knowledge of veterans affairs, military culture, and trauma-informed approaches; experience with VA models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight for the Suicide Prevention Program across the service area.
• Supervise staff, oversee outreach, screenings, education, and referral follow-through; ensure VA coordination.
• Ensure program performance, data quality, and timely reporting; support grant compliance.
• Develop partnerships with VA systems, Vet Centers, VSOs, and community partners.
