Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Herndon, VA invites a senior program manager to oversee complex defense programs from inception to completion, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring cost, schedule and technical performance.

The role requires a STEM degree, 15+ years of related experience, CAM/EVM capability, US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance (with potential TS/SCI). Domestic travel up to ~50% is expected.

Qualifications

BS in a STEM field (e.g., Aerospace, CS, Electrical, Mechanical, Mathematics) required.
15+ years of related technical and/or program management experience.
Cost Account Manager (CAM) and/or Earned Value Management (EVM) experience required.
US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain US DoD Top Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly.

Responsibilities

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
Coordinates recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, and related actions.
Manages cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs or subsystems.
Leads contract negotiations and preparation of proposals and budgets.
Directs work across technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
