Big Spaceship is seeking a NY-based Program Director to lead delivery, operations, and financial management for a large-scale client account. The role sits across multiple pods, requiring both strategic oversight and day-to-day involvement to ensure efficiency and quality in a fast-moving environment.

The ideal candidate will excel at designing scalable operating systems, staffing models, and SOW development, while leveraging AI to optimize workflows and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience within a creative agency environment in Program Management, Project Management, or integrated delivery leadership.
• Experience overseeing large-scale, complex accounts with multiple pods, workstreams, and interconnected teams.
• Proven track record managing high-volume social/content accounts with rapid timelines and production cycles.
• Strong experience scoping work, writing SOWs, creating estimates, and developing staffing plans.
• Excellent financial acumen with budgets, burn rates, revenue, invoicing, forecasting, reconciliation, and scope performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program management across a large, multi-pod account and ensure consistency and operational excellence across all workstreams.
• Lead senior-level program management while staying connected to day-to-day activity, deliverables, risks, and priorities.
• Design and optimize large-scale operating systems, workflows, processes, and ways of working across the account.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and emerging tools into agency workflows for smarter, faster operations.
• Manage a high-volume, fast-paced social and content ecosystem with constant production and shifting priorities.
• Collaborate with Account, Strategy, Creative, Social, Studio, Production, Analytics, Finance, and other disciplines to optimize workflows.
• Maintain a strong understanding of client business needs, priorities, and objectives.
• Own the development of large-scale scopes of work and SOWs, from draft to approval.
• Develop staffing plans and resource models based on scope, workload, timelines, and financial targets.
• Coach and mentor PMs in developing scopes, estimates, staffing plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Create project plans with clear resource, time, and objective mappings.
• Own and monitor the financial health of the program, including budgets, revenue, invoices, burn rates, forecasting, and reconciliation.
• Create program-level financial models and use them to inform decisions.
• Monitor financial performance across pods and mitigate risks early.
• Flag SOW and financial implications when milestones or deliverables are at risk.
• Ensure sold work is properly staffed and delivered within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Lead estimates and secure approvals from clients, internal teams, production partners, and vendors.
